Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition is official

After a long presentation of the new Finder and developers face some new services, the Mountain View have come to confirm one of the rumors last minute. The Americans have introduced the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition, the same team of Koreans but with Android OS 4.2.2, no custom interface TouchWiz.

Earlier today a rumor arose that the Internet giant may not submit a new generation of Nexus, but at the cost of launching a version of "Made in Google" Samsung Galaxy S4. These early predictions have been fulfilled since the search has officially confirmed the Google I / O that version of the flagship Samsung.

The truth is that the Mountain View firm has not been too explicit since the ad has been fleeting. Hugo Barra, the master of ceremonies, has provided few details. The highlight of this Samsung Galaxy S4 Edition will be incorporating Google Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2, no custom layers in this case without TouchWiz-to provide a user experience 100% Android.

Another detail to note is that the bootloader of this Samsung Galaxy S4 "Google Edition" will come unlocked, so we can consider the most appropriate terminal for developers and people who are used to install custom ROM.

Specifications

Google has not delved into the details of the Samsung team, so hopefully it is a Samsung Galaxy S4 as we know it. Therefore, we are talking about a Super AMOLED screen terminal five-inch HD and FullHD resolution, 13 megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM and 2600 mAh. As for the processor, the search engine has offered no details but it has indicated that this Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition is compatible with LTE networks, which leads to the Qualcomm Snapdragon chip version 600.

Commercial launch

Although not usually a figure provided so easily, Google has not been saved details about marketing the device. The model will be available in Google Play from next June 26 at a price of $ 649. As happened with the Nexus 4, cost for the European market will be 649 euros, 1:1 conversion.
