The iPhone 5 closer to a screen with Gorilla Glass

mpany boasted of having created 304,000 jobs in the United States. Well, within this huge number of jobs, was named a small section that included jobs "supported by Apple", ie the activity supported by Apple, and is cited as an example, "Texas workers manufactured processors for iOS products, Corning employees in Kentucky and New York that produce most of the crystals (Glass) for the iPhone, and employees of FedEx and UPS (courier and transport companies) ".

Gorilla Glass

If we do a bit of memory the iPhone 4S was not wearing this technology, but Apple was created to change a special glass aluminum silicate. Of course, the company said it was as strong as Gorilla Glass, but the evidence (including the "feedback" with many users) have shown that it is not. Now that Apple has appointed Corning, the creators and owners of Gorilla Glass technology, in its report on employment, suggests that they could be working to create special glass for the next iPhone 5.
In addition, to this we must add one more fact: not the first time Apple and Corning working together on the iPhone. In fact, the iPhone 4 in 2010 came with a type of Gorilla Glass. It is not known what is the reason why Apple stopped using it on the iPhone 4S but we can assume it was due to production requirements and cost, as Gorilla Glass technology was not exactly cheap. But now, things have changed. On the one hand, the price of Gorilla Glass has fallen, and secondly, the iPhone 5 will increase its price, not to mention the fact that Apple has recorded record profits and could pay well Corning technology for its new iPhone.
