Wireless connectivity Air iPad and the new iPad mini

Apple yesterday launched its new tablets for this year. The new models promised to revolutionize the market, but wireless connectivity issues, have not at all.

Apple has decided to bet very strong 4G connectivity to their devices providing compatibility with all existing networks, however, have forgotten to incorporate the latest Wi-Fi technology for greater wireless speed and coverage. At the end of the day, which consume more data is connected to our home Wi-Fi from home.
As wireless features, the iPad Air and the iPad mini have exactly the same, there is no difference in this respect between the two models.
Both are compatible with GSM and LTE (Spain):
  • UMTS / HSPA / HSPA + / DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1,900 and 2,100 MHz), GSM / EDGE (850, 900, 1,800 and 1,900 MHz), LTE (lanes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 , 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25 and 26).
As for Wi-Fi connectivity is concerned, both are compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi networks, this means that these new iPad is dual-band, can work in the 2.4GHz band at a speed of up and 300Mbps in the 5GHz band at a speed of up to 300Mbps.They have two internal antennas 2T2R MIMO configuration.
This brings the first "problem" and is not compatible with Wi-Fi AC gives us greater speed and coverage in the 5GHz band Beamforming with technology .. One of its direct competitors, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 does incorporate this technology into your terminal.
Is it enough if we want to stream HD video? Probably yes, but if we spend enough weight files via Wi-Fi this will be a problem for the more impatient. Getting a new computer and do not incorporate features that rival more direct does have is disappointing. For example the new Macbook Air and Macbook Pro do incorporate Wi-Fi AC.
About the Bluetooth, both models are compatible with Bluetooth 4.0, the latest revision of this wireless technology. This new team does have support for assisted GPS, but still does not incorporate GLONASS.
