Acer recently said
that it would introduce six or seven Android handsets this year, and
the new Liquid S1 is one of them. Officially announced today, the Liquid
S1 is, in fact, a phablet – even the company calls it that.
Sporting a 5.7 inch HD (1280 x 720) display, the Acer Liquid S1 runs Android 4.2 with Acer’s own Float UI – which doesn’t significantly change the stock Android experience.
The Device Further Features:
Prices for the Liquid S1 will start at €349. Acer says the device
will be first available in France, the UK, Germany, Netherlands,
Belgium, Russia and Ukraine, followed by Italy and Spain. These
countries should get the S1 in the third quarter of the year. At the
moment, there is no word if the new Liquid will make it to North
America.
All in all, the S1 seems to be a viable choice for customers in need of a large Android handset that isn’t too expensive.via Press release
