Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and Tab 3 8.0 now official, will be launched this month

Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 – two new tablets that have been in the rumors for quite a while.
Both running the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the tablets come to expand Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 family, which also includes a 7 inch model (obviously called Galaxy Tab 3 7.0).

Samsung says the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 was “built to be the leading 10-inch tablet in the market.” However, the fact that its 10.1 inch display only has a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution doesn’t go too well with the “leading” part. Anyway,

  • 1.3MP Front-Facing Camera
  • A 6,800 mAh Battery
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 16GB / 32GB of Internal Memory
  • MicroSD Card Support
  • dual-core 1.6GHz Processor
  • Both running the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
The processor manufacturer wasn’t unveiled, but it’s most probably Intel.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 was “designed to be held in one hand.”
  • It Comes with an 8 inch display (also 1280 x 800 pixels)
  • LTE
  • 5MP Rear Camera
  • 1.3MP Front-Facing Camera
  • 1.5GHz Dual-Core Processor

  • 16GB / 32GB of Internal Memory

Samsung didn’t say anything about the prices of Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 8.0. However, both tablets will be available starting this month – “beginning of June” to be exact – so pricing details should be unveiled any time now.
Later this year, Samsung might introduce a Galaxy Tab 3 Plus, which should feature a 2560 x 1600 pixels display.via Press release
