SIM-free Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, S4 Mini and Mega 6.3 to be available in the UK in the next couple of weeks

It’s not the first time we’re hearing that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active GT-I9295 could be released in the UK on the very first day of July. But now retailer Clove is “confirming” that the waterproof Jelly Bean handset is going to be out on July 1.

The SIM-free price of the S4 Active is £486 (about €569, or $747). Only the blue – pictured below – and grey versions are expected to be in stock on July 1 at Clove, with the orange one coming sometime later.
Clove will also launch the Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy Mega 6.3 on July 1. The S4 Mini costs £376.80 (€442, or $579), and will be available SIM-free in black and white. On contract, the handset might be available starting July 5.
The larger Galaxy Mega 6.3 is priced at £454.80 (€533, $700) SIM-free, also coming in black and white versions.
Meanwhile, Handtec – another British retailer – expects to have the Galaxy S4 Active and S4 Mini in stock a bit earlier than Clove, namely on June 28 (see here and here). However, it doesn’t say that this launch date is confirmed, while also asking a bit more for both smartphones.
Other Android devices from Samsung that should be available in the UK next month: Galaxy S4 Zoom, Galaxy Ace 3, Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, and Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.
All these will undoubtedly further consolidate Samsung’s position as the world’s top Android vendor.
