Verizon launches LG Optimus Zone (L3) and Exceed

Verizon has started selling two LG smartphones to prepay customers: the Optimus Zone, and Optimus Exceed.
The Zone is Verizon’s slightly upgraded version of the LG Optimus L3 E400, available globally since February 2012. It’s a low-end handset that runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread (with no planned update to ICS)

Features: 

• 3.2 inch QVGA display
• Wi-Fi
• GPS
• Bluetooth 3.0
• 3.2 MP rear camera
• 800MHz single-core processor
• 512MB of RAM
• 4GB of internal memory
• MicroSD card support
• A 1,540mAh battery

The Optimus Zone – pictured below – costs only $79.99 (no contract required).

As for the Optimus Exceed, this is just a renamed LG Lucid – yes, the first-generation Lucid (launched in April 2012). Sold by Verizon for $129.99,

The Optimus Exceed runs Android 4.0 ICS, Featuring: 

• 4 inch WVGA display
• 1GB of RAM
• dual-core 1.2GHz processor
• 5MP rear camera

Both the Optimus Zone and Optimus Exceed should be available as of today. They’re not listed online yet, but Verizon retail stores probably have them.
