In the U.S., Windows Phone Android overtakes growth

According to the observation and research Kantar Worldpanel ComTech smartphone market remained fairly stable, Android yet unconditional leader, but the share of Windows Phone and iOS show more nimble growth than the green robot.


Since April 2013 Android has more than half of the smartphone market in the U.S. - 51.7%. iOS lags behind with 41.4%, and Windows Phone yet quite uncertain in third place with 5.6%. However, Windows Phone shows positive growth in 1,8%, iOS - 2,3%, Android - 1,4%.

Interestingly, 42% of those who came to Windows Phone, moved to this platform with regular phones, 25% have broken with smartphones with the Windows, and 23% have switched to Windows Phone with Android. iOS in turn, also luring some users Android. At the same Apple products came to 31% of those who previously did not use a smartphone.
Interesting, too, and the age of those who come to the Windows Phone. If you look at the number of years those who came to the device with Windows in the period from 2011 to 2012, that are dominated by the age of 50-64 years. In the same year, Windows Phone is preferred by people aged 25-34.
