The Nexus 5 terminals with Android 4.4 KitKat need nanosim cards

The recent leaks about the Nexus 5 are extended with the information coming from Ukraine. And the operator Life has published on its website information on their rates on what kind it is recommended to choose SIM card for different market terminals. Coincidentally, next to iPhone iPhone 5S and 5C, format compatible models nanosim also appearsNexus 5.

We have found that the latest leaks coincide in the main technical features of the Nexus 5. However, so far we had no evidence that the new model Google uses the same format as subscriber card presented recent iPhone. At least that mentions a Ukrainian operator in his own official website.

Nexus 5 nanosim cards

As can be seen in the additional information about their rates, the operator encourages its customers to choose a nano SIM card if you are determined to buy soon an iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, 5 or Nexus with Android 4.4 model KitKat. The truth is that the suggestion is no stranger when it comes to the latest models from Apple since the iPhone 5 the other teams have inherited this feature. The news comes as the operator assumes that the Nexus 5 will also support SIM card format. It is unknown where the information available to the company, but the fact that an operator include it as official information is to be taken into account. Anyway, considering that currently the Motorola Moto X also supports nanosim cards and Google's relationship with the manufacturer (s owner) not surprising you want for your Nexus a standard format for all these.

A requirement for all equipment manufacturers to launch KitKat?

However, the operator Life delves further into the topic saying that everyone who acquires a terminal with Android 4.4 serial KitKat also need a card like the Nexus 5. Does this mean that the models with the latest Android version will only be compatible with nanosim? That is precisely what the operator suggests, news that would be a further evolution in the hardware itself smartphones. And this kind of cards, given the reduced size of format (12.3 x 5 mm), allows manufacturers to save space on the inside to include other components and improve others, such as the battery capacity.
