A logo is something clicked! A new button on the HTC One

Recently we wrote about the fact that craftsmen from XDA investigated firmware and hardware HTC One and found that this unit under the manufacturer's logo is a sensor that is quite capable of handling user's touch. But since by design engineers and designers of this logo, not the button, the kernel does not process any way touching the area.

HTC One Comrade Tbalden the forum XDA, who once discovered this feature, now it is developed by custom kernel for the One, which allows you to make a logo button and hang on neee action required by the user. So far, there are two options: Turn your smartphone, if you pressed the power button, or a menu call Android.

Many eager to see the second option with the call menu, however, it became clear that the button on the gadget is not very conveniently located and reach for it is not just because of the size of the device, and therefore the use of the logo-button-up gadget seems too logical. Meanwhile on some firmwares, there are some instability at work, but the author of the patch is working hard in order to eliminate them. Details on firmware kernel and its capabilities can be found in the official branch forum. And below video shows a demonstration of focus.
