Liquid E2 might help Acer sell 2 million Android phones this year

Expected to become available in Europe starting this month, the Acer Liquid E2 is one of the cheapest quad-core Android Jelly bean handsets ever. Acer will ask only €229 (about $296) for it. This low price is possible thanks in no small part to the quad-core MediaTek MTK 6589 CPU that’s powering the E2.

That Aside, The smartphone Features:
  • 4.5 Inch qHD IPS Display
  • HSPA+
  • Dual SIM Capabilities (optional)
  • 8MP Rear Camera
  • 2MP Front-Facing Camera
  • DTS Audio Technology
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 4GB of Internal Memory
  • MicroSD Card Support
  • 2,000 mAh Battery
According to Focus Taiwan, the Liquid E2 – which will be launched in black and white color versions – could help Acer sell 1.5 to 2 million smartphones this year. In 2012, Acer has managed to ship only bout 600,000 units. Reportedly, the Taiwanese company plans to introduce “six or seven new smartphones in 2013”, including a model priced around $170. They should be all released in Europe and South-East Asia.
