New Samsung Exynos 5 Octa, leverages its 8 cores simultaneously

The new Samsung Exynos 5 Octa is a "true octa core" in its new version. Not the same as the one including the Samsung Galaxy S4, but this processor if that actually makes use of its eight cores. So we can understand it better, ARM has put at our disposal a series of videos that shows the operation of the processor in "everyday use".

Samsung surprised with his eight-core processor for some time. The Exynos 5 Octa and was incorporated into the Samsung Galaxy S4 and, despite its eight cores, as we see in the video below, it was not a processor, nor is superior to the competition. In terms of competition we are referring to NVIDIA Tegra 4 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, the latter seems to be the favorite for the high end. A perfect video, the next, so we can get on with this new Exynos 5 Octa big.LITTLE.

The new Samsung Exynos 5 Octa big.LITTLE

To date, the 5 Octa Exynos Samsung, employed "combinations" 4 core Cortex-A15 and Cortex-A7 4 cores depending on the weight of the process. With this new generation of Exynos 5 Octa big.LITTLE that ecomenzará to join in new handsets from the last quarter of 2013, is reached or HMP heterogeneous multiprocessing.
In the videos that we present below, we can see the operation of this new SoC running three types of different applications.

Samsung advances MediaTek behind

It feels like little children say, but this time Samsung has come later than MediaTek. And, as much as MediaTek is considered a processor manufacturer oriented mid to low, in this case, they came first. In fact, the "True Octa core" MediaTek was a response from this company to the first Samsung Exynos Octa, which as we have explained, there is no simultaneous use of its 8 processors but a combination of these depending on the situation.
The difference is that see a MediaTek processor, in Europe, on a high-end terminal, is complicated. However, Samsung is responsible for using their own processors and this is what can lead you to believe, to many readers, that Samsung has "invented" the processor Octacore "real" for mobile devices. via: TabletZona Source: Engadge
