The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is tested for autonomy

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra features a huge 6.44-inch screen that contrasts with a 3050 mAh battery. It also incorporates a powerful 800 Qualcomm Snapdragon and therefore power consumption in operation of its components is important. How about this answer battery testing device with autonomy?

These tests are organized in a particular way, following four sections that serve to provide some data as objective as possible and to make comparisons with other models that have been previously taken the test. The first three sections are used to estimate the battery life on phone calls, Web browsing and video playback. Finally, the fourth section measures what it takes to run out the battery if every day we make a phone call to one hour and spend another hour surfing the Internet and playing video.

First Test: Talk time

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is second in this test, offering a battery life of 24 hours and 23 minutes WHILE that above is the Huawei Ascend Mate with a total of 25 hours and 12 minutes. No doubt good data that the Sony Xperia Z Ultra offers in terms of talk time.

Second and third test: Web browsing and video playback

How could it be otherwise, the use of the screen is a much higher battery consumption as when browsing the Internet or playing videos, the autonomy of the Sony Xperia Z Ultra is reduced significantly. Here the big Sony only able to offer 5 hours and 23 minutes of battery life, while the same manufacturer, the Sony Xperia ZR is able to offer over 11 hours of autonomy.

Fourth test: Resistance

For the final test, which is an hour a day for each previous action (call, web browsing and video playback) the Xperia Z Ultra is able to offer a total of 52 hours of autonomy. These data can be compared, for example, with the 61 hours the Galaxy S4 Zoom can provide autonomy, with the exception of d ifferences as to the technical specifications of either terminal. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is their weakness in energy consumption of the screen, of course. Anything that requires the use of the screen will be the most likely to impair the autonomy.
