The day has come. Today Nokia has officially unveiled the new Nokia Lumia 510, the last device in the Lumia line. India was the place chosen for the presentation of this smartphone with the Finnish company wants to make more affordable Windows Phone 7 platform.

It could be considered that this device is the more affordable end of Nokia in the Lumia range. We also have to keep in mind that your specifications are like those of a first-generation Windows Phone, but despite being fairly basic are not negligible considering also the price for which will go on sale, which will be around 199 dollars (about 152 euros). The Finnish company has not deprived of anything to this new terminal, which houses colorful line and striking the other Lumias and will be available in 5 colors: red, black, yellow, cyan and white.

Technical Specifications

To this end Nokia has chosen Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor single core at a frequency of 800 MHz, 256 MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which can not be expanded as it has no memory card slot, although it is noteworthy that offers 7GB of cloud storage through Microsoft's SkyDrive.
On the other hand, note capacitive touch screen 4-inch WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, a display quite interesting considering the price at which the device will be released. On the subject media, the Lumia 510 comes with a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, which also allows you to record VGA video at 30fps. The camera has an extra application for the camera that you can get even more out.
The Nokia Lumia 510 has Wifi, Bluetooth and GPS. It also has different both light sensors, proximity and accelerometer without forgetting. This smartphone has a 1300 mAh battery, which results in a duration of up to 738 hours standby and 8.4 hours talk time. All these features reduced to a smartphone from a size of 120.7 × 64.9 × 11.5 mm and a weight of only 129 grams.
But despite being a simple smartphone, the Finnish company has not forgotten to include navigation services such as Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive and Nokia Transport. For its part, Microsoft brings SkyDrive storage 7GB already mentioned above plus Internet Explorer 9 and applications that provide access to Office.
Regarding the operating system used is Windows Phone 7.5, with a possible update to Windows Phone 7.8, but it is not safe. One downside of this handset is its limited RAM, which can injure your time to evolve as far as operating system is concerned.

Available in emerging markets

The new Nokia Lumia 510 is a phone aimed primarily at emerging markets, so not sure whether to go on sale in Europe or North America, but what we do know for now is that it will be sold from November this same year in China, India, South America and other Asian countries. We can only hope that time comes and subsequently crossing borders into other countries.
