Sony's going to follow in the footsteps of the Chinese smartphone makers it seems, at least from this point of view. The Sony C3 will have a MediaTek quad-core chipset, possibly the MT6589 that has so far made its way into many midrange devices.
The Sony C3 will come with support For:
Dual-standby dual-SIM usage, and its touchscreen will be around 5 inches in size (though we probably shouldn't expect Full HD 1080p resolution here, as this is supposed to be a rather affordable handset after all).
The Sony C3 may only get released in the second half of the year. And apparently it's one of the key models for Sony for the latter part of 2013, in terms of the shipment volumes that the Japanese company expects to see. An exciting time to be a Sony fan in China, then. We'll keep you posted.
