ST-Ericsson plans to show 3GHz chip with LTE at MWC

ST-Ericsson - another company which is engaged in production of chips for mobile electronics. And these guys are already on the MWC in Barcelona will show us the new development - chipset NovaThor L8580, running at 3GHz. The company along with Quallcom, immediately provides complete solutions with a radio module and the ability to work with LTE networks.


NovaThor executed on the current 28-nm process technology. And ST-Ericsson say that the performance of the processor is not inferior to those used in desktop PCs. Furthermore NovaThor 35% more economical in power consumption than today's counterparts arm-architecture operating on similar frequencies.

For sale as ST-Ericsson will release a chip at a frequency of 2.5GHz rayuotayuschy with video accelerator PowerVR SGX544, LTE-modem, Bluetooth, GPG, Glonass, FM, WLAN, Wi-Fi Direct, Miracast and NFC.
