Huawei Ascend W2 shows up in leaked press pic. May cost $290 at launch

As Windows Phone GDR2 update release approaches, WP vendors are readying early summer refresh to their smartphone portfolios.
We already know about Nokia Lumia 925, which should start shipping in a few weeks, Samsung should announce their new WP device on June 20th.
And today we get the news about Huawei Ascend W2 handset, in the form of a press render leaked by @evleaks.

Last We Heard About Huawei Ascend W2, It Should Come Equipped with:
  • 4.3” 720p HD IPS Touchscreen
  • 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 CPU
  • 8 Megapixel Camera With LED Flash, 1080p Video Recording
  • 1GB of RAM
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, HSPA+ Support
  • 2,000 mAh Battery
Huawei Ascend W2 looks like a solid mid-range Windows Phone, definitely not in a flagship range.
Some Chinese sites report that Ascend W2 should retail for 1770 Yuan ($290). That’s still a rumor, but sounds about right, if Huawei is positioning this smartphone to compete with Nokia Lumia 720, which come closest to W2 in the specs compartment.
