LG Optimus L4 II and L4 II Dual coming soon

Back in February, when LG announced its new L-series smartphones, it showed three handsets: Optimus L7 II, Optimus L5 II, and Optimus L3 II. It turns out that an Optimus L4 II also exits and, like the other three, it has a dual SIM version – obviously called Optimus L4 II Dual.

Unveiled by Russian website Hi-tech@mail.ru, the Optimus L4 II and Optimus L4 II Dual run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and should be released starting June, apparently in Russia first.

The L4 II Features:
  • 3.8 inch HVGA (480 x 320) True IPS display
  • HSDPA
  • Wi-Fi
  • Single-core 1GHz MediaTek MT6575 processor
  • 3MP rear camera
  • 512MB of RAM
  • 4GB of internal memory
  • MicroSD card support
  •  A 1,700 mAh battery.
  • It will cost 5,490 RUB
  • Meaning about €134 or $173.
The Optimus L4 II Dual looks a bit different from the L4 II. But apart from its design, and supporting two SIM cards, it’s exactly the same device. It’s going to be slightly more expensive than the L4 II: 5,990 RUB (€146, or $189).
Both the Optimus L4 II and L4 II Dual will probably be widely available in Europe and Asia. And yes, the naming scheme of the L-series isn’t exactly brilliant. But let’s be thankful we don’t have an LG Optimus L2 II Dual.
