Waterproof Samsung Galaxy S4 Active GT-I9295 pictured, Sony Xperia Z will have a true competitor

The rumored Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is a real device, and several live photos of it have appeared on the Web to prove that.
Similar in size to the original Galaxy S4, the S4 Active (mode number GT-I9295) looks quite different, thanks to its red back and sides, and the three hardware buttons on the front.

Like Sony’s Xperia Z flagship, the Galaxy S4 Active is a high-end waterproof and dustproof smartphone.
It has a
  • 5 inch Super AMOLED Full HD (1920 x 1080) screen
  • Quad-core 1.9GHz processor (probably Snapdragon 600)
  • Adreno 320 GPU
  • And likely a 13MP rear camera
It’s not the first time when Samsung makes a waterproof Android handset (see the Xcover series), but it is the first time when this comes with high-end specs.
The new Galaxy smartphone might be released as soon as July. There is no word on how much it’s going to cost. In any case, it’s clear that Sony’s Xperia Z will have a true competitor in the S4 Active.
