Asus Transformer Pad Infinity gets updated to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

While most mobile device makers are currently struggling to bring Android 4.1 updates to their products, Asus is basically in a league of its own in this regard, especially compared to other tablet makers. The Taiwanese company started updating the Transformer Pad 300 to Android 4.2 last month, and now the rollout has started for the Transformer Pad Infinity as well.

Sadly, the update doesn’t bring the absolute latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, which is 4.2.2, but 4.2.1. That’s still way better than any other company. In fact, Asus was the first out of the gate with a 4.2 update for any non-Nexus device.

The update naturally comes over-the-air. If your tablet hasn’t yet notified you about it, just go to Settings > About tablet > System update and manually force it to check. You might just get lucky.
The update to Android 4.2.1 for the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity brings with it support for up to four different user accounts, the Daydream feature complete with an Asus screensaver, new camera and parental lock apps, lock screen wallpapers, a new UI for Asus’ keyboard, and a tweak regarding Ethernet settings. Aside from these things which were mentioned in the changelog, the update also comes with new widgets (including lock screen widgets), better looking fonts, as well as general performance improvements.via Android Police
