LG teaches your screen Quad HD AH-IPS with resolution 2566 × 1440 pixels

LG launches its new Quad HD AH-screen 5.5 inch IPS 2566 x 1440 pixel resolution, figures that are quite far from the 1920 x 1080 FullHD. These displays could reach our smartphones during 2014, although not known that LG has plans for their new screens.

The screens of our mobile phones have been evolving in our hands at a rapid pace in recent years. Just been a while since the tiny screens without color until you've reached the big screens of between 4.5 and 6.5 inches. Digesting this is sometimes difficult.

Pixel density

The relationship between the resolution and the screen size is critical. And, it is not the same as having 1000 "points" in two square centimeters have those 1000 points in a square millimeter, right? When we speak of "ppi" we are referring to "pixels per inch" or whatever it is, pixels per inch. The Sony Xperia Z, for example, is 443 ppi (pixels per inch), this data is the pixel density.
If we compare the density of pixels between two different smartphone, we are comparing only a small piece among many who can pick up a screen. Therefore, the pixel density is not necessarily indicative of the final quality of the screen but rather a small point in its favor.
The new Quad HD display LG AH-IPS has a size of 5.5 inches and a resolution of 2566 × 1440 pixels which results in 538 ppi. As you can see, far in 95 pixels per inch, a lot. However, would not be the only data that should be compared to know, really, if the screen is better or not.

A point of the "war of screens"

In these times, the supply of consumer technology manufacturers could be written in the history books and name it as "The War of the specifications." We have spent several years in this period and we fail to see how a manufacturer "attacks" another with a new sensor for camera "zillion" processor megapixel or "do not know how many" cores. Is it really useful or necessary all this is being released?, should not worry about other things before? Consumers probably prefer (in general) these manufacturers devote more time, money and effort into getting our smartphones batteries do not have to be feeding on the grid every day or two days maximum.
Surely, consumers prefer (in general), that manufacturers charge of making devices that we make life easier instead of complicárnosla. We could go with a lot of goals that manufacturers should achieve to meet customer and is really just after achieving all these things when really make sense LG screen with resolution 2566 × 1440 pixels and 538 pixels per inch.
What think you?
