LG Optimus GJ – a waterproof version of Optimus G flagship is coming to Taiwan next week

While not comparable in sales to Samsung Galaxy S III, Optimus G was the first true high end Android hit phone for LG.
We already know that Korean company is preparing something special for the follow-up Optimus G2 soon. But , it seems, it still has some surprises in store for the original flagship too.

According to E-Price, LG issued invitations to Taiwan media for the launch of Optimus GJ phone on May 22nd. And, according to them, it will be a waterproof version of the original G flagship.
Most of the features will remain similar to the old device, but it will IPX7 waterproof spec to the mix. It means that you will be able to safely submerge your LG Optimus GJ in up to 1 meter of water, for 30 minutes.
That LG has a waterproof version of its Optimus G smartphone is not a big surprise. They’ve launched one for Japan’s NTT DoCoMo last year.

Now they are taking this device international. I hope other markets than Taiwan are in LG’s plans too.
