Samsung to announce new Ativ (Windows Phone) and Galaxy (Android) devices on June 20

It’s not too often that we get to see a major company announcing Android and Windows Phone handsets at the same event. But it looks like this is exactly what Samsung is going to do next month, on June 20.
The South Korean giant has let the world know that it will host an event on that day in London. Dubbed “Samsung Premiere 2013”, the event seems to be a major one, where new Galaxy and Ativ devices will be showcased.

I’d say there’s a good chance we’ll see at least one of these oft-rumored Android devices: Galaxy Note III, Galaxy S4 Active, and Galaxy S4 Zoom. As for the Galaxy S4 Mini, this is expected to be introduced earlier, on May 30.
There’s no clue on what the new Ativ might bring. However, Samsung is certainly looking with envy at Nokia’s latest Windows Phone 8 handsets – the Lumia 925 – so I assume its upcoming WP8 handset will be a high-end one. Sure enough, Ativ could also mean new Windows tablets or laptops (the image in the lower-left corner hints at a tablet).
Until now, Samsung has released only two Windows Phone 8 handsets: Ativ S I8750, and the Ativ Odyssey I930 (this being exclusive to Verizon Wireless in the US).via Samsung
