Asus Memo Pad HD possibly launching at Computex 2013

Asus launched its ultra-cheap 7-inch Memo Pad Android tablet earlier this year, and it looks like it already has a successor to it.
Reportedly called Asus Memo Pad HD, the upcoming tablet will have a 7 inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels. This almost puts it on par with Google’s Nexus 7 (also manufactured by Asus), which sports a 7 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels.

Filipino blog Yugatech says the Memo Pad HD runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean,

Featuring:
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
  • 1GB of RAM
  • quad-core 1.6GHz processor of unknown provenience
  • 16GB of internal memory
  • Memo Pad HD runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
The tablet could be officially introduced at Computex 2013 (Taipei, June 4 – June 8). It’s said that prices will start at $169 (or €149 in Europe). As you can see, the new tablet is going to be a tad more expensive than the Memo Pad (pictured below, and currently sold for $149).
Unfortunately, there are no photos to show the Memo Pad HD, but Yugatech has it that it will be available in five color versions: white, black, blue, pink, and yellow.
Asus has managed to ship a total of 3 million tablets in the first quarter of 2013. With the new Memo Pad HD, plus the next-generation Nexus, it could do even better in the second half of the year.
