Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom announced as “the only device you’ll ever need”

Samsung has surprised everyone today by officially unveiling the Galaxy S4 Zoom – about a week before its expected June 20 announcement. What’s unsurprising, though, is what the S4 Zoom is: a “device which combines the stylish heritage of the latest Galaxy S4 smartphone with advanced photographic capabilities.”
Essentially, the Galaxy S4 Zoom is a Galaxy S4 Mini paired with a 16MP camera.

That Features:
  • 10x Optical Zoom
  • OIS (Optical image Stabilization)
  • ISO 100 to 3200
  • Xenon Flash
Samsung says it’s “the ultimate smartphone and camera experience in one, and the only device you’ll ever need” – but that’s certainly not the case for many of us.
The powerful camera on the back has made the Galaxy S4 Zoom really thick and heavy:
  • It Measures 125.5 x 63.5 x 15.4 mm
  • Weighing 208 grams
  • The New Smartphone-Camera hybrid offers a 4.3 inch qHD display
  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
  • LTE Connectivity
  • NFC
  • Wi-Fi a/b/g/n
  • 1.9MP Front-Facing Camera
  • 1.5GB of RAM
  • Dual-Core 1.5GHz Processor
  • 8GB of Internal Memory
  • MicroSD Card Support
  • A 2,330 mAh Battery
Samsung didn’t mention when we’ll be able to buy the S4 Zoom, and neither for what price. But maybe we’ll find out more at the company’s June 20 event in London – where it still has to announce new Galaxy and Ativ devices.
Whenever the S4 Zoom hits the market, I can hardly wait for comparison photos between it and Nokia’s Lumia 925 to show up.via
